Court Fines

If you have appeared in a magistrates court and been fined by the Judge or Justices of the Peace, it is likely that, before the hearing, you will hve been asked to complete an account of all money coming into your household and all money going out. This account is called Means, short for “Means of Paying”, and provides the court with the information they need to set a fine at a level that is equitable (fair) and can be paid within a six or twelve month period.
